I'm Beginning a new work week tomorrow, that means getting back on the bike and riding to work!
My favorite part of the (only) six mile ride to work, is that it is on a slight downhill. The ride home always seems longer.
But I can't believe how just one change in my routine can have such a positive impact on my whole day. I instantly feel more energized, make better food choices, and drink more water when I ride to work in the morning. And it couldn't be easier.
The only hard part is continuing even in poor conditions. Rain, bad car traffic, or laziness seem to have derailed me from my goal of bicycle commuting regularly.
My goal: I'd like to aim for at least 3 days this week.

I think setting a goal like that is the best way to get started. I have been riding to work for the last couple of months - but I live a long way away, so I have been working up to it. I commute on a foldable bike that I keep in my car, and the first day, I drove almost all the way to work, and rode the last mile. I have been gradually increasing my distance and finding better routes, and if it's really bad weather, I sometimes just give up and drive all the way, but it is a good feeling to be increasing the distance every day, even if it's just a half mile at a time.

That's a great point. I'm lucky to work so close to home, but I seem to find excuses to not ride.
Those fold-able bikes are so interesting! I'd feel weird on one though I think, maybe (unrealistically) thinking it may fold in half while I'm riding!
And good to see a comment from someone else! Do you have a blog Alex? Or do I know you?
